We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of Dave Grealis, SEA's new Operations Director. Dave will oversee and develop several of key functions within SEA including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Facilities, HSE and Security.
Bringing with him a wealth of experience from a career spanning spanning over 30 years, including the last eight within the Defence industry, Dave is well versed in the security and auditing processes we are required to undertake and aware of the high standards expected from our customers. His experience within both the defence industry and a manufacturing environment made him the perfect leader for SEA. Dave thrives off working within a technology-focused company and alongside technical people where he can learn and understand how products and capabilities are created and developed.
On starting his role at SEA, Dave said: “I am a firm believer in an evolutionary approach to change. To grow and develop our teams and our offering, we must first understand each role within the chain and any challenges people, and the business are facing. I am respectful of the history at SEA and understand what we do today is built on decades of knowledge and experience. What I want to do is harness that knowledge at all levels and use it to grow as a team to meet the needs of the company both now and in the future.”
During the next few months, his primary goal is to get to know the people within his teams and their stakeholders, understand the current processes and ways of working and invite a wider discussion on how to develop and overcome challenges going forward. A key focus will be properly understanding the end-to-end product supply process at SEA and shape the investment in the production lines for the future.
Managing Director, Richard Flitton said: “Dave brings a wealth of manufacturing and operational experience both from outside the defence industry and also within it, so will be a key asset to the business as we evolve SEA to meet the operational challenges and opportunities ahead of us.”
We wish Dave all the best in his new role.
